Castle Creek Winery
Wine production in Moab began based on successful test plantings in the 1970s. Not surprisingly, the climate in the Moab area is quite hot during summer days, but elevations in most of the growing areas are higher than 4,000 feet, offering cool nights. The dry climate of Moab is optimum for growing healthy grapes, excellent for producing a variety of types, including Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chenin Blanc and Chardonnay. Using locally grown grapes, our winery has produced more than 30 award-winning wines for your enjoyment. Castle Creek Winery currently produces more than 8,000 combined cases of wine. Each bottle is filled, labeled and boxed on site.
Castle Creek Winery’s wines come from lush, green vineyards in Castle Valley, Moab, Monticello and Spanish Valley. Castle Creek wines are typically made from a single vintage rather than blended from multiple ones.
Adding a decidedly civilized tone to the wild west, Castle Creek Winery, the largest in Utah, offers daily wine tasting. The tasting room is large and inviting - the long length usually means there is room for you and your friends, even during our busiest times. Reservations are accepted for seminars, private tastings, and parties.
